"Your Go-To Guide for a Smooth Rental"
Before you book, take a quick peek at our Terms and Conditions — everything you need to know for a smooth and stress-free rental experience.
By placing an order with Luxwardrobe Rentals, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by our terms and conditions and privacy policy, forming a legally enforceable agreement between you and Luxwardrobe Rentals (Last updated 30/05/2025).
Rental Period & Delivery
Your rental period begins on the first day of your booking and ends on the final day selected. Delivery and return dates are included in the hire period. For example, a 4-day hire from Friday to Monday means the item is delivered Friday and must be returned Monday.
We recommend selecting your delivery or pickup date 1–2 days before your event to allow for any unexpected delays.
All postal orders are shipped via Express Post, and tracking will be provided during the week of your hire. Once tracking is issued, it is the customer’s responsibility to monitor it and ensure timely receipt of the parcel.
For high-value items, a signature may be required upon delivery. If no one is available to sign, and the parcel is redirected to an Australia local post office or facility, it is your responsibility to collect it promptly.
Failure to monitor or collect your parcel on time will not qualify you for a refund or store credit.
If a delay occurs due to the courier and the parcel does not arrive on your chosen delivery date, you will be eligible for store credit equal to 110% of your hire fee, including the shipping cost. This ensures fairness for both our customers and our business.
Please note:
• Delivery is guaranteed by 6pm on your chosen delivery day (per Australia Post guidelines)
• Local pickups will be available by 5pm on your scheduled day
While we do our best to ensure on-time delivery or pickup, external courier delays can occur. This is why we strongly suggest booking your hire to start 1–2 days before your event
Late Returns & Non-Returns Late
If your rental item is not returned by the agreed return date, Luxwardrobe Rentals reserves the right to charge additional late fees. A fixed fee of $25 per day will apply for each overdue day until the item is returned.
Note: Sundays and public holidays are excluded from late fee calculations due to post office closures.
If the item is not returned within 15 days of the return due date, it will be considered non-returned. In this case, you will be charged 150% of the full retail value of the item, in addition to any late fees already incurred.
Important notice
Please note: In the event that an invoice remains unpaid and the customer refuses to settle the outstanding amount, Luxwardrobe Rentals reserves the right to charge the full amount directly to the payment method provided by the customer through the card authorization form, without further notice or authorization.
Responsibility & Risk
All rental garments remain the property of Luxwardrobe Rentals at all times. However, once the item is delivered, the full risk and responsibility for its safekeeping passes to the renter.
By placing a booking, you agree to take full responsibility for the care and security of the item during the hire period.
Cleaning & Repairs
Complimentary professional cleaning is included with every Luxwardrobe Rentals booking. Our team specialises in handling delicate and designer garments with the utmost care.
Please do not attempt to clean, repair, or alter any items yourself without prior written approval from Luxwardrobe Rentals.
If permanent damage occurs due to unauthorised cleaning or repair attempts, you may be charged the full replacement cost, in accordance with our Damage & Loss policy.
Damage or Loss
If a rental item is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair during your hire period, you will be held financially responsible for its replacement, regardless of the cause — including accidents or negligence.
In determining the replacement cost, Luxwardrobe Rentals will consider the following factors:
• Current market demand for the style
• Availability of the item for repurchase
• The original condition of the garment prior to hir
• Any loss of future bookings due to the damage or loss.
Charges will be invoiced accordingly, and failure to settle may result in legal recovery action.
Refunds, Cancellations & Exchanges
If you wish to cancel a booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Luxwardrobe Rentals does not offer refunds for cancellations — only store credit, minus a $30 cancellation fee. Cancellations must be made at least 30 days before the hire date to be eligible for credit.
Store credits are valid for 12 months and cannot be extended. Once used, the booking is final and not eligible for further cancellations or changes, including fit issues.
Exchanges are allowed if the requested item is available (not already booked). If exchanged 30+ days prior to your rental date, the $30 fee is waived. Price differences will be adjusted accordingly — you’ll be charged the extra if the new item is more expensive, or credited if it’s less.
Sizing Issues & Returns
Choosing the right size is entirely up to you — we encourage you to double-check sizing through the brand’s website or contact us directly for measurements before booking. We’re always happy to help!
Because sizing is your responsibility, we don’t offer returns or refunds if the fit isn’t quite right.
However, if you receive a different size than what you ordered, that’s on us — and you’ll get a full refund, including shipping..
Garment Condition & Damage Claims
At LuxWardrobe Rentals, we take care to maintain the quality of every piece in our collection. However, please note that our garments are pre-loved and have often been worn by others before you.
Because of this, minor signs of wear are normal and to be expected. This can include (but isn’t limited to):
• Light fabric pilling
• Faint marks or minor staining
• Wear on the inside of garments
• Other subtle signs of use
If you believe your item is damaged, has a defect, or you’ve received the wrong order, you must contact us within 6 hours of delivery with clear photos of the issue. If we’re not notified within this time frame, you may be held responsible for the damage.
Please note: If the dress is wearable and only has minor flaws from normal wear, it will not be considered eligible for a refund.
Limitation of Liability
By proceeding with a booking, you acknowledge and accept that LuxWardrobe Rentals will not be held liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense—whether direct or indirect—that may arise from a cancelled booking or the condition or quality of a hire item.
This includes, but is not limited to, financial loss or emotional distress. While we do our best to ensure every hire goes smoothly, renting from LuxWardrobe means accepting the inherent risks that may come with pre-worn garments and third-party courier services.
Identification
LuxWardrobe Rentals may request a copy of valid, government-issued photo identification as a security measure for certain bookings. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you prior to the start of your hire period to collect this information.
If the requested ID is not provided, or if you refuse to supply it, LuxWardrobe Rentals reserves the right to cancel your booking without prior notice. In such cases, no refund or store credit will be issued.
If a customer refuses to provide valid identification when requested, we reserve the right to cancel the order without a refund. This policy is in place to protect our business and maintain the privacy and security of all parties involved.
This policy is in place to protect both our business and our community of renters.

Our online store and rental system are hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the platform that allows us to offer our products and services to you.

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your state or territory (whichever applies), or that you are the age of majority and have provided consent for any minors under your care to use this site.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, for any reason, at our sole discretion.
By using our website, you understand that any content you transmit (excluding credit card information) may be transferred without encryption and may involve transmissions over multiple networks or be modified to meet technical requirements of connecting devices or platforms. Please note that all credit card details are always encrypted during transfer via secure networks.
You agree not to copy, reproduce, duplicate, sell, resell, or exploit any part of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service (including contact forms or communications) without express written permission from LuxWardrobe Rentals.
Headings used in this agreement are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of any terms.
Section 3 – Accuracy, Completeness & Timeliness of Information
We do our best to ensure all information on our website is accurate and current, but we make no guarantees that the content provided is free from errors, complete, or up to date.
Information on this website is provided for general use only and should not be solely relied upon for decision-making without consulting additional, more accurate or timely sources. Any reliance on this content is at your own risk.
From time to time, the website may include historical information that is not current and is provided for reference only. We reserve the right to update, modify, or remove website content at any time, but we are under no obligation to do so. It is your responsibility to monitor changes to the site.

Some of our services and items may be offered exclusively online through our website. We strive to accurately display the colours and details of all garments; however, we cannot guarantee that your device’s screen will reflect these colours with complete accuracy.
We reserve the right—but are not obligated—to limit the sale or rental of our products or services to specific individuals, locations, or jurisdictions. This may be determined on a case-by-case basis. We also reserve the right to limit quantities or discontinue any product or service at any time, without notice.
All product descriptions, availability, and pricing are subject to change at our sole discretion. Any offers made on this site are void where prohibited by law.
We do not guarantee that the quality of any item rented or purchased through LuxWardrobe Rentals will meet your specific expectations, and we do not guarantee that any service-related errors will be corrected.
Section 6 – Accuracy of Billing and Account Information
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any hire order placed through LuxWardrobe Rentals, at our sole discretion. This may include limiting or cancelling hires per person, household, or order. These restrictions may apply to orders made using the same customer account, credit card, or billing and/or delivery address.
Should we make a change to or cancel your booking, we may attempt to notify you using the email address, billing address, or phone number provided at the time of your order. We also reserve the right to refuse any booking we suspect is being placed by resellers, rental competitors, or unauthorised third parties.
You agree to provide current, accurate, and complete information for all bookings made through our website. This includes promptly updating your account details, email address, and payment information (such as expiry dates), to ensure we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
Section 7 – Optional Tools
We may provide access to third-party tools that we do not monitor, control, or influence.
You acknowledge and agree that any such tools are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without warranties, representations, or conditions of any kind. We assume no liability for your use of these tools, which is entirely at your own risk and discretion. You should ensure you are familiar with and approve the terms on which these tools are provided by the relevant third party.
From time to time, we may offer new services or features through our website (including the introduction of new tools and resources). These additions will also be subject to these Terms of Service.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, along with our posted policies and any other legal notices published by us, constitute the entire agreement between you and Luxwardrobe Rentals regarding your use of our services. They supersede any prior or contemporaneous communications and agreements, whether oral or written.
Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of our right to do so at a later time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If you initiate legal action against Luxwardrobe Rentals, you agree to cover any legal costs we incur in responding to and resolving the matter.
